LightSPEED is a leading company in the field of active noise reduction (ANR). ANR works by recording the aircraft noise by special microphones inside each headset earcup, "phase-shifting" the noise by 180 degrees and then playing it back through extra speakers in each earcup. This cancels out noise sound waves. ANR works especially well with low-frequency constant noise, such as prop and engine noise.

Features like music and cell phone connectors, stereo/mono switches and automatic shut-off after use are standard on LightSPEED headsets - as well as a headset bag and connecting cables.
