We offer the Zuluboard in two versions. Both are made of robust black ballistic nylon. The standard model has a normal clipboard; the deluxe model features an extra storage compartment underneath the clipboard. Please note that prices vary with version and are displayed accordingly after selection. The Zuluboards are a perfect match for the Gazelle Pilot Bag from the same manufacturer.


Even closed the Zuluboard looks great. When you open it, three parts become visible: the small zippered pocket on one side, the writing pad in the middle and the big pockets on the other side. The strap of the Zuluboard is fixed to all for corners for secure fit to your leg.

The clipboard

The aluminum clipboard is fastened with Velcro and can be adjusted at any angle - no more awkward tilting of your wrist when writing! And left-handers can simply turn the board by 180 degrees to have a kneeboard that fits their needs. Included are five Zulucards and a Zulupad - read on to learn more about them. The deluxe model has a hinged clipboard unveiling a storage compartment for charts, notes et cetera.

Pockets

The big side has an inner zippered pocket and a bigger open mesh pocket to stick charts, calculators or checklists in. In the middle of the side are extra-large pen pockets which are hard to miss even in the worst turbulence. The small pocket on the other side is ideal for batteries or other small parts.

The Zulupad

The double-sided Zulupad has all fields needed for a flight plan, weather briefing and a flight progress form including an area for drawing a sketch of the airfield you are going to. The print on the backside is upside-down, so that flipping the sheet over will let you read everything easily. While the labels are in English and the forms are geared towards flying in the US, they are very handy for flying in Europe, too. The front page takes notes for and during flight progress The acronym CRAFT fits IFR clearances: C - Cleared to..., R - Route of flight..., A - Altitude restrictions, F - Departure frequency, T - Transponder code. VFR flight information follows a similar format. The circle in the lower left can be used for a sketch of the destination airfield for better situational awareness or for drawing holding entries.


The backside contains a US flight plan form and space for a weather briefing.


The Zulucards

The laminated Zulucards give you easy access to vital, but often forgotten information. They can be edited and supplemented with additional information with a felt-tip pen and have colored tabs for easy access. Five Zulucards are included, see the following picture gallery:
