The latest handheld GPS by Bendix/King, the AV8OR (“Aviator”) ACE, offers the same great feature as its smaller brother, but on a large touch screen: 7''/17.8 cm diagonal and 480 by 800 pixels resolution! The "Go Fly" variant features a European aviation and terrain database, the "Go Fly & Go Drive" version adds European street navigation. combines aviation and automotive navigation at a very reasonable price. A smart profile view lets you plan ahead with a vertical profile and view of terrain, airspace and obstacles on your heading. The AV8OR can be easily connected to a PC for quick database updates via the Internet. Enroute guidance for you way to the airport can be heard via an integrated loudspeaker. The AV8OR ACE even provides multimedia entertainment for music, pictures and videos, plus the option to display PDF documents, e.g. charts or handbooks. Read on for a detailed explanation.
