The handheld airband transceiver from Yaesu/Vertex-Standard offer excellent value at low cost. They are very rugged and even watertight (30 minutes in up to one meter depth). The units are equipped with high-capacity rechargable batteries that show little or no memory effect. We offer the VXA-220 airband transceiver, the VXA-300 Pilot III featuring airband send and receive, VOR navigation and NiMH battery and the ultra-compact VXA-710 Spirit featuring airband send and receive, VOR navigation, Lithium-Ion batteries and FM radio receive.
