The VXA-710 is successor to the VXA-700. It is an ultra-compact airband transceiver weighin at only 280 grams, featuring VOR navigation and a Lithium-Ion battery with no memory effect. In addition, it will receive standard FM radio transmissions from 88 to 108 MHz. The waterproof magnesium alloy casing is very rugged. The capability of the predecessor VXA-700 to transmit and receive in the 2-meter-amateur-band is not available anymore due to problems with the American FCC.
